Green Dragon Scheme »
The Green Dragon Scheme is registered by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to enable both the Green Dragon Environmental Standard® and BS8555:2003 to be audited using the International Standard ISO 17020.
This provides the assurance that robust quality systems are in place, controlling the assessment process and ensuring that high standards and consistency are achieved and maintained when auditing against Green Dragon Environmental Standard® or BS8555.
We can help you gain registration under the Green Dragon Scheme by assessing you against the steps in either the Green Dragon Environmental Standard® or BS8555:2003. We can inspect you at any stage of the way to ensure that you meet the criteria, and then issue you with a UKAS accredited certificate.
The Green Dragon Environmental Standard® has 5 levels, and whilst it can be used to help to achieve ISO 14001:2004 and/or EMAS, you will have a recognised Environmental Management System from Level 1 and you can choose to remain at the level that is appropriate for your organisation.
BS8555:2003 can also be used to gain ISO 14001:2004 but you need to look at a minimum of Phase 3 should you wish to remain at a particular level.
